PRIMARY INSTRUCTOR
Philadelphia Academy for Nurse Aide Training is expanding. We are a state licensed CNA school offering certification in CPR, Alzheimer’s Care and Nursing Assistance. Students completing the 135-hour, four weeks program receive a diploma and are eligible to sit for the State Nursing Assistant certification test.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for one or more individuals to be part of our training program following a state mandated curriculum. This individual will be responsible for teaching at least 51% of the training course as well as provide supervision of the candidates a clinical setting. Other responsibilities will include maintaining complete and accurate records, assisting with the evaluation of candidates as well as students and interfacing with long term care and acute facilities and act as a liaison between such facilities and the school.
QUALIFICATION
- Registered Nurse with minimum two years’ experience as RN.
- Current PA RN license
- Completed (or willing to complete) in Teaching the Educator Workshop offered through Pennsylvania University at http://www.ed.psu.edu/tte
- Certified to teach CPR
