Kathy Kunkel, LPN.

Instructor, Philadelphia Academy for Nurse Aide Training

Kathy brings extensive practical and teaching experience to the job.

She has taught Nursing Assistants and assisted them through clinical rotations. Her nursing work experience includes functioning as a staff nurse, charge nurse and admissions director of a facility.

In addition to her certification as an LPN, she is certified as a Train the Trainer by the PA Dept of Education, Certified Medication Trainer and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.

Khadian Smith, RN, BSN.
Instructor Philadelphia Academy for Nurse Aide Training (part-time)

Khadian has extensive experience as a supervisory floor nurse providing vital care to her charges. In the ICU she worked as a Cardio-Thoracic and Surgical nurse initiating and maintaining I.V’s, and monitoring Neurological Status.

As a Cardiac Telemetry nurse, she worked as a team leader monitoring and coordinating care by establishing effective lines of communication between patient, family and a wide array of medical care givers.

Michelle McClure, BSN
Instructor Philadelphia Academy for Nurse Aide Training (part-time)

Michelle is Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aide by the American Heart Association. She also holds
certification for Concussion in Sports by the Nat’l Federation of High School Associations.

As a School nurse she has been involved in the assessing of children for illness and injury, monitoring immunizations and administering/dispensing medications. This experience has served her well as a dosing nurse in a Methadone clinic.
